New iGaming Legislation Introduced in Ohio Senate

A copy of SB 312 is available here. Based on all available intelligence, this is not a serious bill, and did not have broad input from industry. As such, SB 312 has little chance of being considered during November’s “lame-duck” session.

Further, the sponsor of the bill is term-limited at the end of this year, and will not be returning to the Senate next session. As we have shared previously, Ohio is a state of interest for iGaming, however, we don’t foresee it being realistic until 2026+.
