New York to Hold Hearing on “Combatting Problem Gambling on Mobile Wagering Platforms”

The House Racing and Wagering Committee will hold a hearing to discuss “Combatting Problem Gambling on Mobile Wagering Platforms” on Oct 29 at 10am [Link to live stream here].
The new chair of the Committee will hold the hearing to be a fact finding mission. They intend to make responsible gaming a key focus of any legislation (sports or iGaming) that is pushed next session.
We understand that witnesses include academics, and PG policy experts, and a rep from a DFS operator. iDEA has been advised to only provide written testimony. A draft of our testimony is currently being reviewed.
