North Carolina Legislation Targets College Sports Proposition Bets and On-Site Wagering

New bill, HB 828 has been introduced that would prohibit proposition wagering on collegiate and amateur sports.
The bill includes language that would also prohibit sports wagering at “sports facilities” where college games are being played. Based on the language it is not clear if this would be limited to retail wagers, or would also include mobile wagers as well.
Currently there are no retail sportsbooks at a sports facility in NC, however, the existing sports wagering law permits them to be opened.
