NY Poised for Legal iGaming, but Opposition Still a Factor

With down-state casino licenses nearly determined and the sweepstakes prohibition bill signed into law, Senator Addabbo believes that New York is ready to embrace legal iGaming.
However, serious opposition remains from the Hotel Trade Workers Union, who will have influence over Governor Hochul during an election year. At this point, it seems unlikely that Hochul will include iGaming in her budget.
