OH: CCC Releases Updated Batch 3 Rules
The rules process started by the Casino Control Commission continues. With the staggered introductions and deadlines, every Friday has become a deadline for comment submissions for Round One or Round Two of the five batches of rules set to be released by the Commission.
This week they released updated version of Batch 3 rules. They can be found here.
We should expect to see Batch 5 introduced the week of March 7th. The members of the Casino Control Commission will meet on March 16th and it is possible that the Commission will formally send Batch Two for consideration by Ohio’s Common Sense Initiative for its impact on businesses.

With respect to timing, media reports continue to indicate that the Commission fully expects to use every day available before the statutorily-mandated launch date of January 1, 2023. Given the requirement to launch all types of sports gaming on the same day, and with the responsibility of the Commission to grade and award licenses subject to a competitive application process, it is unlikely that a significantly earlier launch date is possible.
