Ohio CCC Announces Application Deadlines for Sports Gaming
Ohio’s Casino Control Commission has announced application deadlines for sports gaming. The full communication is provided further below in this update. They also released a sports betting implementation timeline, which can be accessed here.
Sports Gaming Stakeholders,
As required by HB 29, the Executive Director has announced application deadlines for the submission of sports gaming applications.
The Commission will begin accepting applications for Type-A, -B, & -C Proprietors, first designated Mobile Management Services Providers (MMSPs), Management Services Providers, and Suppliers on June 15, 2022. The deadline for these applications to be received by the Commission is July 15, 2022.
The Commission will begin accepting applications for Type-C Sports Gaming Hosts and second designated MMSPs on July 15, 2022. The deadline to submit these applications to the Commission is August 15, 2022.
Completed applications submitted in the appropriate application window will be considered in advance of the Universal Start Date that will be set no later than January 1, 2023.

Additionally, the Commission has updated its Frequently Asked Questions to address matters concerning the license application process and the announced application windows. The FAQs may be accessed here. The Commission anticipates releasing additional FAQs regarding the licensing process when applications are made available to stakeholders.
