Ontario: iGO Seeking to Impose Weekly Cap on Pre-Paid Cards

We are aware that iGO is seeking to impose a weekly cap ($250) on pre-paid cards that can be used for mobile gaming. They are doing so without a formal consultation process.
Companies in the payments space and operators are encouraged to reach out to iGO and AGCO to weigh-in on this proposed policy. We ask for any member who is concerned about this proposal to reach out to our advocacy team.
iDEA has engaged with AGCO/iGO and government agencies throughout the process and continues to reach out on issues of shared industry concern.
We are reaching out to CGA about the pre-paid card issue and will consider a joint letter to raise concerns.
