Ontario: Still Awaiting Transition to Licensed Market

The process in Ontario continues to drag out. IGO has yet to release the proposed contract, or provide guidance on transition from the grey market to the licensed market.
There is some discussion of a March 1 launch date, but no announcement has been made, leading to speculation in some quarters that the launch may slip beyond the election and into the summer.
iDEA’s consultant in Ontario will continue to engage policymakers.
iDEA sent a letter to the AGCO, copying iGO and the Finance Ministry, calling for transparency and certainty in the regulatory process. It is available in the Ontario section and Documents Center here in the member portal.
