Sports Betting Won’t be addressed Until Late Spring in NC

Recently the Governor expressed his support for passing a sports betting bill this year. He expressed support for the bill that has already passed the Senate (last year), but did say that he wants to increase the tax revenues the state receives.
This could be done through increasing the tax rate/fees or limiting the amount of promo deductions.
It is not expected that sports betting will be addressed until later this Spring after the legislature has addressed issues like redistricting.
