Sports Wagering Amendment Act Remains in the DC Budget

The Sports Wagering Amendment Act remains in the DC budget after an amendment to remove it was defeated on June 12th.
The budget, which includes the expansion of sports betting, still needs final approval from the Council which is expected before the end of June. At this point it seems likely that the sports betting language will remain in tact. In related news, the head of the DC Lottery announced that he is leaving the position at the end of July to take a new job as head of the Connecticut Lottery.
