Summary of Maryland SWARC Meeting 3/16/2022
A firm has been hired and they have begun their work. Various entities are working with this firm to get necessary information to the firm so that they can move forward as quickly as possible. However, no hard date was given as to when the study would be completed.
Sometime at the end of April or beginning of May, the State of Maryland would like to have an informational conference in conjunction with Spectrum Gaming to discuss sports wagering. Within the conference, there will be different panel discussions. The potential panel discussion topics include an overview of gaming in Maryland and the licensing process; what it is like running a sportsbook; and what is it like being in a regulated industry. These topics are potential topics. The final topics could be different.
