December 4, 2024

Right before Thanksgiving, the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council issued proposed amended rules for sports wagering. The full notice and the proposed rules are available here. Note that the redlined version showing changes starts on page 41.

A public hearing regarding the new rules will be held on January 15, 2025 at 11am CST. Comments will need to be submitted prior the hearing.

  • Updated geolocation requirements
  • Required use of Integrity Monitoring services
  • Changes to reserve requirements; strengthening prohibition on underage access
  • Broadening the advertising notification requirements to vendors (affiliate marketing)
  • Requirement to share compensation information about “brand ambassadors” and “influencers”
