Update on Missouri from John Pappas

May 5, 2022

Late last night / early this morning, there was an attempt to bring the “compromise” bill up on the Senate floor, but ultimately after debate the bill was withdrawn from consideration. We understand that the casinos are not supportive of the changes, including the increased licensing fees and lottery parlay offering.

There continues to be discussions to bring the stakeholders together and our local lobbyist is in the middle of these discussion attempting to facilitate dialogue and compromise. We will continue to provide updates and remain hopeful that we can resurrect (again) a sports betting bill before the session adjourns on May 13th.
