Updates from MD SWARC Meeting

The SWARC concluded it’s meeting this morning. An archive can be viewed here. Highlights listed below.
- They acknowledged the Gov’s letter, but said they are moving as quickly as the law allows.
- Disparity study still ongoing, not complete
- Draft applications and regulations for SWARC are in process and should be ready for internal review within a week (I still don’t think they can be finalized until the study is done)
- Ultimately they provided no definitive timelines for mobile and competitive Class B licensing.
- E-licensing (online license application) will be available starting THIS FRIDAY for the MD Lottery licensing process for both mobile and Class B. Keep in mind this is separate from the SWARC licensing process – which is not yet complete. Click here info on eLicense.
- Another facility operator will be up for approval next week with the MD Lottery. 14 of 17 named entities are in/completed the process. 3 have shown no interest.
- Plan to meet again on Wed June 29 @9am for a special meeting.
