WV HB 4397 Proposes iGaming Tax Increase from 15% to 25%

Legislation has been introduced in the House to raise the iGaming tax rate from 15% to 25%, similar to another bill that was recently introduced for sports betting. HB 4397 can be viewed here.
The session adjourns March 14. iDEA has connected with Senator Jason Barrett, who is the chair of the Senate Finance Committee. His committee would have the ultimate say in this bill advancing to become law, however he is not a supporter of this bill.
