Wyoming iGaming Bill Dies After Not Receiving “2nd” in Committee

February 3, 2025

Despite strong support from several stakeholders Wyoming’s iGaming bill died today in Committee. After hearing about 2 hours of testimony (including that of John Pappas) the chair asked for a 2nd to bring the bill to a vote; it was not seconded.

This is quite a stunning result since, as of Friday, we had information that a majority of the Committee was supportive of the bill and that it would clear this hurdle with no issue.

iDEA will be doing a follow-up with stakeholders later today to get a better sense of the breakdown. More info to follow once we have it.
