Wyoming Schedules Gaming Panel Discussion, Hearing, and Vote on iGaming

January 21, 2025
On Thurs., January 23, the Wyoming Association of Municipalities (WAM) will hold a gaming panel discussion.
Nick Larramendy, WGA’s Executive Director, will be speaking at the panel, and our hope is that he conveys the same messages he shared during iDEA’s previous meeting with him, including that he anticipates iGaming being an “easy lift” for the Commission, he has no concerns about the Commission’s ability to oversee iGaming, and that there is illegal iGaming activity currently taking place in the state.
Wyoming’s Travel, Recreation, and Wildlife Committee will hold a hearing on the iGaming bill – HB 0162 – at Noon (local time) on either Tuesday, January 28 or Thursday, January 30. Virtual testimony will be accepted during the hearing. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Committee will take a vote on the bill.
iDEA’s Wyoming lobbyist is meeting with the House bill sponsors this week and will introduce to them to iDEA so that they’re aware of our organization prior to the hearing.
