MD Lottery and Gaming Commission Proposes New Rules for Sports Betting and Fantasy Sports

The current proposed rules have not yet been published in the Register. The rules still need to be formally published in the Maryland Register for the 30 comment period to officially open.
The next next edition of the Register will be published on October 4. The proposed rules, as well as summary of the OSB changes can be found on the iDEA Member Portal.
We understand that the Commission is also considering another update to their rule which would eliminate any promotional deductions for sports wagering. This proposed rule could be issued as early as September 26. It would be subject to a 30 day comment period after it gets published in the Register.
